Creative Vado HD camcorder comes to UK

Creative has announced it is now shipping the new Vado HD pocket video cam in Europe.

Creative says the thin, lightweight Vado HD is small enough to fit easily in a pocket, purse or the palm of a hand and it captures video in high definition (720p) at the touch of a button.

Apparently the only pocket video cam that combines HDMI connectivity with a supplied HDMI cable, it supports high definition output to an HDTV at up to 1080i.

There's also a precision glass lens, 2-inch colour LCD display, 8GB of built-in memory for up to two hours of HD video which is the same amount of time as the built-in rechargable battery offers.

Claiming fast and easy sharing of video on YouTube and Box.net, the cam has a built-in USB connector and can be plugged into a PC just like a thumb drive.

The Vado HD will be sold complete with software, HDMI cable, silicon skin and USB extension. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.

UPDATE: It will have an RRP of £209.99 in the UK.
