Acer unveils K10 LED pico projector

Acer today showed off their new pico projector, the K10. The projector, like all Acer projectors, features Texas Instruments DLP technology, but this time combined with LED lamps.

The tiny projector delivers 100 ANSI lumens up to 60 inches diagonal (at 2.4 metres), has a native SVGA resolution, with a maximum SXGA and WXGA+ also delivered. It has a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Vertical keystone correction and can be manually adjusted, but there is also an auto setting.

Acer Smart Format technology also corrects the format of the image, supporting 4:3 and widescreen formats. The unit weighs 0.55kg (1.21lbs) and measures 127 x 122mm. Connections include S-Video mini DIN and D-Sub/VGA.

Aimed very much at the business user, another smart touch is the fact that you can use a standard Acer notebook power pack to power the device, so no need to pack two if you are tight on space.

The price is expected to be around £299 and it will be available in January 2009.
