OK so the UK launch was a little muted after the details of the new D3X DSLR camera managed to find their way onto the Internet on Friday.

But the great and the good of the photography world turned out for the unveiling and here are a few snaps we got after we managed to wrestle this £5500 machine out of another journos' grip.
