The iPower GX is aimed at gaming enthusiasts but is also claimed to be powerful enough for movie viewing (although this model doesn't have a Blu-ray drive) and also for memory hungry graphics applications.

Spec-wise, it has Nvidia GeForce 9800M GTS with 1GB of GDDR3 VRAM, and it is powered by the Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q9100.

The screen is a 17-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1200 resolution along with "glossy black and brushed aluminium surfaces".

It will be available from January with prices starting at £999.
