DosPara and Mouse Computer launch rival notebooks

Dinky duo with same price tag competing for fans

It seems there's a new netbook launched every day at the moment, and here's two more.

First up is the LuvBook U100, which Akihabara News has given the dubious title of "a netbook with the price of a notebook". Not a good start.

For the equivalent of 630 euros, Mouse Computer Japan has packed in an Atom N270 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 160GB of HDD.

A little chunkier and heavier is Dospara's Prime Note Cressida NC which also has a 630 euro price tag.

But it packs in more - a Core 2 Duo T5500 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 250GB of HDD, 12.1-inch WXGA screen, Wi-Fi, memory card reader, USB 2.0 3x, IEEE 1394, XP Home edition and a DVD multi drive.

  • The U100 is perhaps a giveaway that the LuvBook is another MSI Wind variant... Posted by chrishall, United Kingdom
