Motorola has announced the launch of the MOTO Q11 smartphone, a quad-band GPRS/EDGE device running Windows Mobile 6.1.

The company says the phone is aimed at both mobile professionals and consumers who want a fully featured QWERTY smartie with fast messaging, easy access to email, location services and multimedia applications - at an affordable price.

Complete with integrated Wi-Fi, the phone gets all the productivity you'd expect from a WinMob handset plus PC syncing, as well as GPS with Google Maps, Bluetooth and a 3-megapixel camera.

Other specs include 450 minutes talk time, microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB and decent file support for audio and video.

The phone has a 2.4-inch screen, measures 117 x 64 x 11.7mm and weighs 115 grams.

The MOTO Q 11 is expected to be available in December 2008 with exact availability and pricing TBC.
