Dell has announced the launch of the Studio desktop and Studio Slim desktop - the newest additions to Dell's Studio line.

With a glossy black finish the Dell Studio desktop is a traditional mini-tower chassis while the Dell Studio Slim Tower is aimed at those short of space.

Said to be "stylishly designed", the new PCs offer support for DirectX 10, Blu-ray and built-in HDMI.

Standard features include six USB 2.0 ports, built-in FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet and a built-in 16-in-1 media card reader on Studio desktop, with an optional 19-in-1 on Studio Slim Desktop.

Upgrade options include ATI video cards, Blu-ray disc drives, 802.11n Wi-Fi, TV tuner and wireless keyboard and mouse.

The new PCs have a starting price of £339.
