Trigem has launched an Averatec-branded netbook called the Buddy.
Based on the 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, the Buddy gets a 10.2-inch LCD screen and 160GB of memory.
Aimed as a "perfect travel companion for the road", the Buddy offers Windows XP Home operating system.
Other specs include 1GB RAM and built-in wireless LAN. It doesn't say it in the press release but we'd wager it also gets a 3-in-1 memory card reader and three USB ports.
The Averatec Buddy netbook PC will be available in the States through resellers, as well as direct, for $449.99.
