Pure unveils second-gen DAB radio - the One Classic
IFA 2008: £49.99 and available next month

Pure has already launched its first iPod dock at IFA over in Berlin, but the company has also used the tradeshow to unveil an update of an old classic.
The new One Classic is the second-gen version of what Pure modestly claims is the world's most successful DAB radio, and it joins the One Mini, One Elite, and - although not in the One family - the Pure Evoke Flow internet radio that was launched just last week.
So what do you get for the £49.99 price tag?
Improvements on the original include an input for an iPod or MP3 player, the ReVu tool to alllow you to pause and rewind live DAB radio, a tone or radio alarm, 30 station presets, adjustable bass and treble settings.
The battery life has also been improved so that the radio will now deliver up to 40 hours of portable listening per charge when fitted with the optional ChargePAK (which will set you back £29.99).
The One Classic also inherits the Intellitext tool from the One Elite, which gives listeners on-demand access to DAB extended text broadcasts "for the latest sports and news headlines".
You also get textSCAN which lets listeners pause and control scrolling text, for when, for example, you want to write down web addresses, competition phone numbers or song titles.
The One Classic is available in black, white or pink from next month.
