LG has announced that it is getting into the netbook arena with an announcement at IFA in Germany.

Although an announcement was not expected to be made until Friday, the company has released a more general press release about what the company is displaying at Europe's largest consumer electronics show and forgotten, it seems, to omit the details.

The new model will be called the X110 and come with embedded 3G HSDPA connectivity.

According to LG:

"3G embedded features combined with WLAN 802.11 b/g and 10/100 Ethernet for stable and fast connections means users can communicate and share information any time, any way, any place."

LG are also reporting that the netbook, which we would expect to be powered by an Intel Atom chip will sport an 80GB hard drive.

We will bring you more information, including pictures when we have them.
