BenQ has launched a pair of widescreen LDC monitors today - the G2400WT and the G2200WT.

The main advantage of the new WT range is that their height from the desk can be adjusted as much as 130mm, which BenQ is claiming is "almost double that of regular competitive models".

The 22- and 24-inch models also have a back and forth tilt mechanism, 90 degree pivot, and side to side swivel so you can move them about to get the best viewing position.

BenQ adds that both of its new launches come with DCR (dynamic contrast ratio), have a 5ms response time, a viewing angle of 160° vertical and 160° horizontal, as well as building in Senseye +Photo Technology to make sure your pics look grand.

The 2200WT display delivers a resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels and has dual inputs - D-Sub connectivity and DVI-D supporting HDCP for watching HD video.

The G2400WT is brighter still and packs in resolutions of 1920 x 1200.

It adds a headphone jack, DVI (with HDCP) and D-Sub ports, as well as an HDMI interface.

The BenQ G2200WT and G2400WT are available now for £180 and £318 respectively.
