BlackBerry Mac users have finally been brought up to date with their PC brethren with new software from Pocketmac that allows them to sync their BlackBerry with their Mac.

Released on Thursday the new software adds support for Microsoft's 2008 Office application as well as support for Apple's suite of entertainment software like iTunes and iPhoto.

Entourage 2008 users will now be able to sync contacts via the desktop software, something they have been unable to do since the launch of Office 2008 for the Mac earlier in the year.

On the iTunes side users will be able to now sync non-protected iTunes playlists and for photos connect their BlackBerry to sync albums to and from the email device via iPhoto.

The free software is available now for all models released before May 2008.

No support is currently available for the new BlackBerry Bold due out at the end of the month, however we would expect it to be added as soon as the handset is widely available.
