Budget brand Binatone has launched the Tranciva IR804, a three-in-one FM, DAB and internet radio.

Via your Wi-Fi the radio can access over 15,000 global radio stations and podcasts with options to select via country and/or music genre, or searched for by name with favourites stored in a folder system.

On the DAB side of things there five favourite stations pre-sets, a sleep feature which will switch the radio to standby after a set period, and an alarm clock which has two different settings and a snooze function.

Music stored on a laptop or PC can also be streamed via Wi-Fi to the Tranciva IR804 which can handle MP3, WMA and RA files.

The Tranciva IR804 is available from Argos at £59.99.

  • A great little radio. Compacy and full of suprises. The only problem I had was linking it to my wireless network, but this was found to be unable to pick up on WPA and worked fine on WEP. So if you do have a problem try that setting via your network settings. Radio is great and reception is nothing short of brilliant. Crystal clear and no warbling like you occasionally get on digital pick up. As well as internet radio, you can also tune into digital and FM frequencies, and link up to shared music via your PC. It also has a clock and alarm set up to boot, and for £60 you can't go wrong. Posted by Wayne, England
