More Mobiado mobiles for executive range

A wonderous whirl of wood and gold

Here's a phone you would seriously be upset about if you left it in your pocket then put your trousers through the wash.

Mobiado has made an addition to its hardwood Executive Model series of luxury handsets.

The Professional 105 EM is available in three different designs.

It is sold unlocked to work on quad-band GSM/EGSM and dual-band WCDMA networks within North America, Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America.

Features worth a mention include a 2-megapixel camera, 1GB of internal memory, 2-inch display supporting up to 16 million colours, built-in music player and connectivity options via Bluetooth and micro USB.

But it is the materials that the phone is made of that makes it unique.

The Professional 105 EM is made from either of two hardwoods, Cocobolo and Ebony.

And since no two trees have the same layout of rings, no two phones will look the same.

The sapphire crystal buttons on the keypad have been painted black to add to the look of sophistication, and the casing is constructed from anodised aluminum.

If you really have money to burn - there is also a shiny gold version, which has a solid brass body coated with a 5 micron thick 24-carat gold plating.

Even the screws on the phone are gold plated brass.

And the black paint on the keypad buttons is replaced by 24-carat gold, hand-painted onto each and every button, as with all the lettering and symbols.

Price is on application, which always makes us shudder.
