• Just purchased this from Maplins and have sent it straight back for a refund. Unit freezes constantly. Features are hard to use and require in depth menus. Routing can take 5 minutes and doesn't like to route from a side road or from a building. Very poor software. Unable to add favourites (for regular routes). No traffic pack. • I have just purchased a ProNav from Maplin and I found that the first time you use it will take time to get a lock on the GPS but after that it was fine.
  I had no freezing at all.
  Side roads if you put it in Full Navigation it work out better where you are starting from and going too.
  So side roads ok with it in this mode plus I added another 4 drop offs in this mode.
  Traffic would be nice but I did relies it was not on this unit.
  Favourites would be good to add to this product, but over all it is better than just standard Sat Nav

• I am a class 1 driver and in my day to day job I need to navigate round various
  bridges heights as I deliver roof trusses ranging from 10 foot up to and over 16 foot.
  Pronav seem to be the Sat Nav I have been waiting for but what a huge disappointment.Firstly you cannot input the range of heights I need for my job secondly GPS takes for ever to fix 3 satellites which it needs for the unit to work if you go of route it takes for ever to recalculate and new route.
  In the box there is no mains charger no case no proper instructions as such in all my personnel opinion is that Pronav was rush out onto the market to quick trying to cash in.
  
  Conclusion don't buy Pronav now wait until the software has been fully tested Posted by Darren, UK

• Took first one back to Maplin for exchange but second ones the same. It will only work in 2D. Postcode search is awful - does not give road names, just the postcode. Thinks parts of the M2 are 'no lorries allowed'. Took me off the A12 at Wickford and straight back onto it again. Still tries to route through 7.5 T limits and tiny single track roads. Windscreen mount and unit look and feel cheap, expect to pay about 50 quid if it weren't for the dodgy software that doesn't work. Still have to carry the Tomtom round for checking postcodes, and maps to check the routes, so in the end the Pronav is pointless!
  Will have to return for a refund and maybe try the Snooper. Posted by Sean, UK
• Purchased pronav downloaded the latest updates from pronav website.By the end of my first morning using this device i had given up with it,and went back to using my normal satnav.It consantly would instruct me to exit motorways,only then to direct me back on to the same motorway junction.does not operate when on industrial estates or from minor roads.instructed me to drive down 7.5 ton Road,does not seem to know what it's doing.coming out of Peterborough,it instructs me to drive down the A1,instead of exiting A1 so far down and cutting across the A14 west,to get to the M6.(A14 being a major HGV route also and totally missed it) very poor allround performance.I took it back to shop the next day and got a refund..will probably look at the snooper instead.. • I was going to buy one of these as well but after seeing the comments above I Think I might buy a normal Sat Nav and pay special attention to where it is taking me, lol. cant really afford the snooper however it does sound incredible ..... Posted by Dniel, England
