Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Globe Telecom Inc and SingTel subsidiary Optus have said in a joint statement that they have signed an agreement with Apple to offer the iPhone in their respective markets later this year.
This follows the news that Vodafone has inked a deal with Apple to offer the iPhone in ten territories and America Movil will do the same throughout Latin America.
SingTel will sell the phone in Singapore, Bharti Airtel Ltd in India, Globe Telecom Inc in the Philippines and Optus in Australia.
Australia is also one of the countries the Vodafone will offer the device in, meaning Apple's exclusive operator business model is not planned for the continent, as with Italy.
