Leaked shots of the new HTC handset that is expected to be launched in the UK on 6 May has appeared on the Internet.

Expected to be the HTC Diamond, Italian website newsmobile.it is saying that the new device will sport a 2.8-inch screen, Windows Mobile 6.1, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSDPA 7.2 connectivity and 4GB of internal memory alongside a microSD slot.

There will also, it is rumoured, be a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and like the LG Secret last week an accelerometer on board allowing for motion sensored controlling, however no QWERTY keyboard making this a likely follow-up to the company's popular HTC Touch.

Coming in at 10.7mm thick, judging by the pictures, if they are correct, the phone will sport a rather angular design on the back.

Pocket-lint will be at the event in London bringing you the news as it happens along with hands on pictures and video on the day.

We will keep you posted.
