Samsung Hints At New Camera 0

Rumours have appeared over the weekend that Samsung is to launch a full-frame CMOS-based digital SLR camera.

According to the whispers, the alleged camera is currently in the design stage, so a solid release schedule is not currently available.

Camera magazine Amateur Photographer is reporting that its technical writer Barney Britton has just attended an industry event in Seoul where Kyong-Kook Shin, assistant manager for Samsung's digital camera marketing division spoke.

According to Britton: "Although there is no indication yet as to when it might arrive, it seems now that photographers can look forward to a professional full-frame DSLR with a Pentax lens mount at some point in the future."

Samsung's latest DSLR, announced at PMA earlier in the year is the 14-million-pixel GX-20, which it designed in connection with Pentax carries an APS-C size sensor.

We will keep you posted.
