Klipsch launches its smallest and lightest earphones to date

And claims they are a world first

Klipsch claims that its latest earphones are the world’s smallest and lightest to date.

The Image earphones have an aluminium body; and come with a 127cm vinyl cable; and weigh just 10g.

They use patent-pending Contour Ear Gels which are "anatomically designed to accurately fit inside the human ear canal", explains Klipsch.

The design is claimed to reduce ear fatigue while providing a seal for noise isolation and increased bass response.

Each set of earphones comes with five different ear gel sizes: small, medium, and large single flange designs as well as small and large double flange designs.

The earphones also feature black "tails", which are said to reduce cable stress and serve as an acoustic dampener to minimise cable-generated noise.

The Image earphones will work with the iPhone and virtually any device that has a standard headphone jack.

They also come with a carrying case (capable of accommodating an 80GB iPod) and pouch, a 1/4 inch adaptor, an airline adaptor, five sets of ear gels, and an ear gel cleaning tool.
