New flip-screen first

10 February 2008 11:24 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

One of the first launches to come out of the Mobile World Congress, LG has announced the LG-KT610, a GPS-enabled, candy bar mobile phone with a "unique" 2.4-inch VGA flip screen holding a PC-like QWERTY keypad.

Based on Symbian OS v9.2 and S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, the KT610's users can "take full advantage of a rich suite of multimedia features and applications" according to the limited info available from the Korean company.

The KT610 offers HSDPA connectivity at 3.6Mbps and GPS navigation capabilities, there's also push email functionality as well as "working" and "socialising" features.

Other info is a little light, but we're on the case to find out more about this interesting-sounding phone, and source product images, so will update this story when we do.
