Samsung launches black U600 with haptic touch

Tweaked handset exclusive to O2

Samsung chose The O2 as the arena for the launch of a new, updated version of the SGH-U600, exclusive to the venue sponsor - mobile phone operator O2.

The new and improved U600 is exactly that - a refresh to the existing model rather than anything revolutionary.

The black paint job is the main cosmetic enhancement to the 10.9mm slider while the software has been updated to support haptic touch.

This means that a user will get a little bit of force feedback when pressing the touch-sensitive buttons on the front of the phone - something we felt was lacking in the original model.

The new U600 will be available from free on O2 contracts or £99 if you opt for the pay-as-you-go option.
