CES 2008: Dreamflyer personal flight sim machine

The ultimate fly-boy accessory

9 January 2008 20:43 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

The Dreamflyer on display in the gaming innovation area at CES is a personal virtual reality flight motion simulator that's described as lightweight and compact.

It's designed to let the user, or pilot, experience the feeling of flight in the most realistic way possible while on terra firma.

The pilot-lead and pilot-induced roll and pitch oscillation can also be linked in to any flight sim game software.

The machine works on the principle of machanics, the pilot sites on the chair and balances across the axis of the chassis.

The sensor/joystick underneath the chair captures the motions/movements and sends the info to the computer, where it is interprted and displayed on screen in real time.

The ultimate accessory for wannabe pilots into their flight sim games, this will cost around $3000 in the States.
