Apple is to release a "significant" update for the iPhone on Saturday 8 December according to rumours on the Internet.
Coming just a month after Pocket-lint exclusively reported version 1.1.2 would launch at the time of the UK launch, CNET France is reporting that firmware update. 1.1.3 will bring a number of new features to the phone.
The new inclusions including a disk mode of storing general data and a voice recording mode for capturing voice memos.
The disk feature will behave in a similar way to the iPod, and block users from simply dragging and dropping content to load on the phone with playable music according to the site.
If true, the latest update is likely to once again break current "Jailbreak" firmware updates that allow users to install third party software on the handset.
We will keep you posted.
