A PC-less Skype-enabled phone is the latest launch from Solwise and is priced £69.95.

The V500-DS can be connected straight to the internet allowing Skype-to-Skype calls as well as Skype In/Out calls to fixed line numbers.

Skype users will benefit from features including the ability to view their Skype credit, details of other contacts including status and profiles, call forwarding, call deny and voicemail.

A 1.5-inch colour handset screen, speakerphone for hands free talking, keypad backlighting and polyphonic ringtones come as standard with the handset.

Users will also benefit from on-board memory capable of storing 50 phone numbers; last number redial; and recording of the details of 10 of your last missed, received or dialed calls.

And a nice touch is the intercom facility which users can set up between two V500-DS handsets, even while a third handset is being used for a landline call.

Solwise adds that the phone boasts a 300 metre range (in open field), it delivers 8 hours talk time and 120 hours on standby.

The V500-DS is available now from Solwise direct, its resellers (details on its website) or through Amazon.
