Not long after announcing the "Oxegen" gaming PCs, Evesham has launched the new Cosmos gaming PC series, an even higher-end option for those who can splash the cash when it comes to a cool gaming rig.
As well as the latest Intel Core 2 Due processors, Evesham has chosen to include the 8800 Ultra and 8800 Ultra SLI NVIDIA GPUs in the Cosmos series and all machines deliver full DX10.
Chassis-wise, the striking Cooler Master Cosmos chassis was designed to optimize NVIDIAs SLI GPUs and so claims to ensure your system runs "like a dream".
Sound proof materials create a quiet environment and a sound barrier design reduces vibration, while the Cosmos chassis also features "innovative" colling techniques as well as upgradeability.
Although both are customisable, the following two models are offered off-the-shelf (so to speak) in the range:
The SLi ready Cosmos sports an Intel Core 2 Duo processor E6850 (3GHz, 4MB cache, 1333MHz), Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate, single 768MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX Ultra, 2GB Corsair DDR 2 800MHz Memory (EPP), 500GB SATA 7200rpm HDD, 24-inch Widescreen TFT display with HDMI and 2 x Multi Format Dual Layer 20x DVD Writers.
The Cosmos Elite, described as the "very epitome of what you can currently get on the market", features Intel Core 2 Extreme processor QX6850 (3GHz, 8MB cache, 1333MHz)), Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate, Dual 768MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX Ultra, 4GB Corsair DDR 2 800MHz Memory (EPP), 2 X 500GB SATA 7200rpm HDD (1TB RAID), 24-inch Widescreen LCD, Creative 7.1 Speakers, 2 x Multi Format Dual Layer 20X DVD Writers and a Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Sound Card.
The Cosmos series is available now from Evesham's website, comes supplied as standard with Evesham’s 3-year warranty, and prices start from £1999.00.
