VIDEO: Dungeons and Dragons on Microsoft Surface

A team of students at Carnegie Mellon University has developed a Dungeons & Dragons application for Microsoft Surface. It's a little like a printed out map, but completely interactive and able to recognise items placed on top.

It can then calculate line-of-sight, roll dice, and perform other functions for the RPG though notably it doesn't play the game for you - this is still a traditional board game, just one with a rather remarkable board.

Have you spotted any cool applications of Microsoft Surface? Let us know in the comments.
