At last! A good reason not to scrape a blade across your face everyday in the name of presentation and respectability.

That's said, facial hair no longer carries the stigma that it used to: the preserve of sailors, villains and assorted ne'er-do-wells.

But anyway, for the month of September this is something we can all get involved in. Well, except you lovely ladies out there, of course. Unless you're really unfortunate.

Tacheback is a campaign to get "real men" growing moustaches for charity and this year's theme is 'Tache Wars. That's right, you pick a 'tache clash with somebody and see who can grow the best facial adornment and raise the most money for Everyman - the UK's leading male cancer charity.

So, on your marks, get set, grow!
