Channel 4 has let slip that it's planning to create a Come Dine With Me Facebook application, which would allow users to create their own dinner parties and populate them with friends - just like in the TV show of the same name.
Granada and Channel 4 are speccing out the application, but it hasn't been commissioned to be built yet. In the show, contestants take turns to cook for each other, and rate the other cooks. The highest scorer when everyone's had a go wins a £1000 prize.
Some fans of the show had already started to plan their own versions, so the broadcaster wanted to help organize them, as well as obviously building the brand for the show. We'll keep you posted of the app's progress, if you promise to invite us to your next dinner party.
