Tiscali has announced it's taking on the pay TV market and Freeview with the national roll-out of its digital TV service. They are claiming they now offer the most competitive TV, broadband and phone "triple play" packages in the UK.

Customers can get over 80 channels, replay TV and what is apparently UK's largest on demand TV library with Tiscali's new packages at "just a fraction of the price of pay TV rivals".

Available to nearly 10 million homes by Christmas, Tiscali's new £19.99 triple-play package includes 2MB broadband, inclusive telephone line rental with free weekend calls to UK landlines and ten top international countries, plus its TV Variety Pack with over 50 digital channels including all BBC, ITV, 4 and Five channels as well as Sky 1, 2, 3 and Sky Arts, Sky News, Sky Sports News and Paramount Comedy 1 and 2.

The TV Variety Pack also includes Replay from BBC and 4, free on demand TV series and access to over 1000 on demand, pay per view movies.

For £24.99 customers can receive the same TV package, inclusive line rental, unlimited calls to UK landlines and ten top international countries, plus up to 8MB broadband. There are also additional TV packs for £6 each plus Pay TV subscription options for premium channels.

Where available, existing Tiscali broadband customers will be able to upgrade to TV with a free set top box, free wireless modem and free installation. New customers also get a free set top box, free wireless modem and pay £30 for installation.
