Philips launched the WAC3500 at IFA 2007, a new product in their Streamium wireless music range.

Presumably catering to those who would fancy more of a micro-system shaped offering than the more unusual original Stremium design, this takes on a more trad form factor.

The specs are trad by no means though as it lets you stream, dock and play all your music on one system in a futuristic stylee we could only dream of 10 years ago.

The WAC3500D Wireless Music Centre boasts an 80GB hard disk and lets you stream music from your PC, dock your iPod, plug and play from USB devices, and enjoy HDD playback and internet radio.

You can stream and copy music from PC with drag 'n drop functionality, rips up to 1500 CDs to the 80GB hard disk to store and playback, dock and charge your iPod and plug and play directly your USB flash memory device.

The system offers 2 x 40W RMS "hi-fi sound" and boasts a Class D digital amplifier. Like the previous version, if you so desired you could make the WAC3500 the centre of you home music set-up - the system is expandable letting you add up to five Wi-Fi Stations.

Pricing and availablity to be confirmed.
