Skype online chat software now adds SMS

Skype is the all-conquering free-to-download internet telephony client with clearer reception than some established chat programs. Not content with gradually cornerning the spoken market, now Skype has looked at the text messaging market and is offering the a service through Connectotel.

While beta testing is carried out, you can text for free, so give it a whirl- as long as you've always got a computer handy.
