Palm is putting its faith in its newly created operating system, webOS, the company's CEO has confirmed, announcing that you won't see handsets from them with anything else.

The comment that the company would stop developing devices with Microsoft's Windows Mobile OS came as the CEO announced a better than expected quarterly earnings report.

The company recently announced its second webOS based handset, the Pixi, in the US earlier in the month, hoping to appeal to smartphone users not looking to go for a high-end device such as the Palm pre.

Meanwhile in the UK, Palm has yet to officially announce the launch date for the handset, which will be exclusively available on the O2 network.
