LG Electronics has announced a range of home cinema products under the theme of "Design Art".

They describe the range as offering the latest technological innovations with stylish features.

"We at LG have been leading technology innovation for over a decade. Now we are working to attract a more stylish audience in Europe and beyond, with our intelligent, emotionally appealing products", said Tae Bong Kim, VP of LG Electronics Design Center.

"LG is now developing 'coveted' products, rather than just 'needed' products."

Lg says that the "Design Art" theme will allow European consumers to create a stylish living room while also embracing the latest technologies.

Part of the new offerings is the Design Art TV Series which feature a unique ring-shaped supporter, which LG hopes will give the sets a distinctively modern look and feel.

The line also features speakers that are covered by a special film that keeps them completely out of sight, which apparently does not affect the sound quality.

These design-focused TVs provide the HD or Full HD picture quality and easy connectivity. The series offers LG’s exclusive XD Engine and enhanced 10,000:1 contrast ratio, which should create deeper black levels and provide a fuller range of colours.

With its "intelligent Eye technology" incorporated to optimise brightness and contrast, viewers are said to be able to enjoy the best picture possible without eye fatigue.

To match the televisions, the Design Art Home Cinema System has also been introduced and has champagne glass-shaped speakers and features HDMI 1080p Up-Conversion and SIMPLINK.

It's thought these new offerings are designed to appeal to women, increasingly the decision makers when it comes to buying consumer electronics.
