Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, MGM and Sony Pictures have all confirmed on the record to Pocket-lint that they have not accepted sweeteners from the Blu-ray association.

The response follows a direct question from Pocket-lint following rumours that the HD DVD forum paid Paramount and Dreamworks to sign exclusively with the format.

Although all the studio's present confirmed that they hadn't accepted sweeteners from the Blu-ray disc association, Stephen Foulser, Marketing VP Europe for Disney opted for a "No comment" statement, raising questions amongst industry commentators.

Studio execs visibly wriggled on stage as they were put the Yes/No only question in front of a packed audience of journalists at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Germany.
