The self-proclaimed top selling business app on the iPhone has stretched itself a few inches further from the opposition today with the launch of support for Office 2007.
Quickoffice 1.4 is available for $14.99 and allows users to view and edit those pesky .docx and .xlsx Word and Excel files which Microsoft invented with the Office Open XML standard. There's still no editing of PowerPoint in this latest version but you can view them along withPDF files too.
The application is good for Office 2008 for Mac as well as what you'll find on the PC and the 1.4 software will also allow the iPhone to open and edit the attachments direct from e-mails, rather than having to transfer from your machine by Wi-Fi.
