IFA 2007: TomTom 920 T satnav launched

New flagship model to sit next to 520 and 720 models

Tom Tom has announced a new satnav model this morning at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Germany.

Adding to the newly launched TomTom 520 and TomTom 720, the company has added a new flagship model the TomTom 920 T.

The new model will feature a 4.3-inch screen, and comes preinstalled with complete maps of Europe and USA & Canada on the 4GB internal memory.

The new model will also promise Enhanced Positioning Technology, which according to the GPS maker, results in a more continuous navigation experience.

Other features include an RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver to receive up-to-date traffic information is included in the box, Bluetooth remote control, TomTom's MapShare software, speech recognition address input, handsfree software for mobile phone users and Built-in FM Transmitter to play music and navigation instructions over the car stereo.

The new model, which replaces the current TomTom GO 910 will be available in the last quarter of 2007. The company has not as yet set a price.
