MobileMe Find My iPhone claims first arrest

Apple's Find My iPhone feature on the iPhone has claimed its first victim after a robber was caught red handed with a stolen phone.

While most phones that are stolen end up never being re-united with their owner, when one American from Shadyside near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, got his iPhone nicked he jumped on the internet and tracked it down.

Using the MobileMe service announced earlier this year, the phone owner tracked the location of his iPhone to a Walmart "where police said the suspects purchased items with his stolen credit card" reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Police have now arrested the man the paper reports. Presumably, the unnamed victim now has his phone back.
