Sources within Apple have confirmed to Pocket-lint that the company will not be making an announcement at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Germany this week. The source also confirmed that an announcement would not be made at the company's 5 September event next week about when the iPhone will be available in the UK.
The news scuppers rumours by the FT newspaper in London earlier in the month that the company would jointly announce with T-Mobile, O2 and Orange their plans at the consumer electronics show.
According to sources within the Californian company, the rumours started due to a series of briefings planned in Berlin to promote the company's new iMac lines.
