Tesco has announced that it is selling the UK's cheapest digital set top box. In a move designed to get Brits prepared for the digital TV switchover, the Techwood Freeview digital set top box costs just £10.
Commenting on the launch, Graham Harris, Tesco, said: "A digital set top box for just a tenner is quite simply the best deal on the market and astounding value".
"We know that many of our customers aren't ready for the change in the way their TV programmes are transmitted, so to get them prepared for the switchover from analogue to digital, we're offering this digital TV technology at the lowest price ever."
Offering up to 40 Freeview channels and digital radio stations, the Techwood set top box comes in a silver finish and is incredibly easy to set up - it's automatic. And it's simple to plan a TV schedule with the eight day electronic programme guide.
The £10 Techwood digital set top box will be sold in selected Tesco stores and is also available online while stocks last.
