i.TV has announced that a new version of its remote control iPhone application has been submitted to Apple. It allows users to control their television, AV reciever, or DVR using the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The new version of the application has an improved user interface, integration with iTunes to download content from there, and the ability to set alerts for specific shows. It also hooks in with TiVo to allow access to broadband-connected TiVo DVRs on the go.
Other third parties are also able to hook into the service by employing i.TV's "Remote Control Framework" to allow their devices to work with the remote control software. The application is free and will be available on the App Store as soon as Apple approves it. Check out the trailer that the company has put together above.
