Sony Ericsson has announced that Dolce & Gabbana has designed a limited edition handset for the company, named "Jalou". It's rose-coloured, and comes with 24-carat gold plating.
It measures just 7.3cm long, "shorter than your favourite lipstick" says the company, and comes with three satin bags to let you protect the phone or store the charger in. It also comes with a Dolce & Gabbana branded headset with gold accents, and a button press will turn it into a compact mirror.
When turned on, the phone has content from Dolce&Gabbana's women's Autumn/Winter 2010 runway show pre-loaded, along with a variety of themes, wallpapers, and an RSS feed for Dolce & Gabbana's blog.
Oh, you want some specs? It has a 3.2-megapixel camera, video recording, stereo FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, an MP3 player, the aforementioned "mirror key", a walkmate step counter, google search, maps, mail, YouTube and IM applications, and a weight of just 84 grams.
It'll be arriving in Q4 in "rose", "deep amethyst", "aquamarine blue" and "onyx black". No pricing, but given the label on it, Sony Ericsson is clearly hoping the recession will have lifted by then.
