Logitech Harmony 900 remote control ditches Infrared

Logitech has announced the launch of a new Harmony remote on Tuesday that promises to control home cinema devices even when they are out of sight.

In a move that is likely to be welcomed by home cinema fans who want to keep their living rooms clutter free, the new Logitech Harmony 900 remote uses RF technology to ditch the need of a line-of-sight as found with traditional remote controls.

The unit will feature a colour touchscreen along with 44 "of the most important" buttons you'll need, be rechargeable and like previous Harmony remote controls before it, have access to over 255,000 devices once you'll run through the online setup process.
