Griffin Technology is to launch a new iTrip Auto later in the year Pocket-lint has found out.

Although not officially launching at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Germany, that hasn't stopped the company showing off the new device to key journalists, and that means Pocket-lint.

The new model, simply called the Griffin iTrip with Smartscreen will be an FM transmitter that automatically scans the FM frequency and offers you the three best signals.

The new feature follows other FM transmitter makers in the market including Doro, a Swedish company currently trying to break into the UK.

Expected to cost around £40, it will launch in the UK in the first quarter next year.

Griffin also confirmed to Pocket-lint that its Evolve wireless speakers, first announced at CES in January will eventually be making its appearance in the UK in January.

We will keep you posted.

Useful to American's, the company also announced the launch of a range of iPhone accessories at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Germany.

The new range will offer iPhone users in the US and soon UK a series of protective cases and not wanting to miss a trick a headphone jack extender.
