Newton Peripherals, makers of the Mogo mouse have launched what it is claiming is the world's smallest Bluetooth dongle for laptop users.

The finger-nail sized Bluetooth Adapter plugs into any laptop or tablet USB port.

Called the MoGo Dapter, it has been designed to remain in the laptop at all times and plugs into a spare USB port sitting virtually flush with the side of a laptop.

The v2.0 +EDR and USB 2.0 promises quicker connection times, enhanced voice and multimedia quality, greater Wi-Fi environments, and up to three-times-faster data-transfer speeds than v1.2 Adapters.

As with all Bluetooth products the device has a range of 30ft (10 metres).

According to its makers, the device should appeal to the 250 million laptops in use that don't feature Bluetooth.

The pricing of the new device has yet to be confirmed.

We will keep you posted.
