WD launches My Book World Edition II

Western Digital has launched a newly redesigned My Book World Edition II dual-drive network storage system in capacities of up to 4TB.

With the double protection of two RAID 1 Mirrored drives and continuous backup software that keeps a second copy automatically, it's described as an "extra-safe" solution to back-up, store and share data and digital media.

Music, photos and videos can be streamed directly from the My Book to any PC, Mac or connected DLNA-certified media player, such as some TVs, Xbox 360s or PS3s using the integrated UPnP media server and iTunes music server software.

Users can also securely access their files from anywhere in the world through the internet using the free MioNet remote access service included.

The new My Book World Edition II network storage systems are available now in 2TB and 4TB capacities priced at £369.99 and £599.99.
