R2D2 "trash" can available now

Artoo for your rubbish - blasphemous or blindingly cool?

R2D2

24 August 2007 10:32 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

We're getting a serious sense of deja vu looking at Artoo as a rubbish receptacle, so you may well have seen this before, but this Japanese model is at least new to ThinkGeek and shipping now.

Is it wrong to turn the little robot into a trashcan? He is a highly capable astromech droid, after all. Or would his chirpy little face brighten your time in the office?

No sound or light effect in evidence - the most high-tech thing he's capable of is swinging his head (lid) up when you step on his little droid paw.

Vote with your wallet - he's available now for a (rather steep) $150, link below.
