iPhone 3G S hands on

You've no doubt heard that the iPhone 3G S is hitting the stores tomorrow morning. Whilst you're sitting at home twitching in anticipation, we thought it only fair to blatt off some photos of the new iPhone for you.

Yes, we know it looks the same as the 3G, but that's not the point. Is it?

The "S" stands for "speed", with Apple citing a 2x performance increase, meaning faster page loading and navigation.

A new camera sits in the back, bringing with it new touch focusing and VGA video capture. It also packs in a digital compass and some new features thanks to the OS 3.0 update.

Apple told us that one reason for keeping the design the same was so that iPhone owners with existing accessories, such as cases and docks, could continue to use them.

We'll be bringing you a full review of the new v3.0 packing hardware shortly.
