Sony launches "Zappin" Walkman
In Japan, Sony has introduced a new line of Walkman MP3 players under the "Zappin" moniker.
They are presumably named after the Sony music software that skips through tracks playing snippets of each song in order to make finding a tune you're looking for quicker and easier.
The flash-drive-type models look fairly capable for your ultra-portable, or gym bag option with 2GB memory, drag and drop music transfer, an FM tuner and a three-line display.
Weighing in at 26 grams, with support for MP3 and WAV files, the players offer 18 hours playback which compares rather favourably to the new shuffle's 10.
Shown in black, orange, red and pink, we're waiting to hear on a UK release and will keep you posted.
