Making a change from the more usual situation of having to wait for months for an announced handset to be available, the just-announced-hours-ago Samsung Jet is now available on Vodafone, as we'd told you it would be.
The UK-based operator has a 2-week jump on anyone else getting the device and is currently offering it free on contract for a not astronomical £20 per month contract.
That is, of course, if you're wiling to sign your mobile life away for 2 years. The £20 per month, 24-month contract will get you 100 minutes and 500 texts bundled in with the new OLED-equipped mobile.
Anyone a little more prudent with their tie-ins (you never know what's round the corner, phone-lovers) can still get the phone for free on a 12-month contract, but the monthly price rises to £40.
Inbetweeners should note the 18-month contract option that will get you the handset for free - and 100 mins, 500 texts - for £25 per month.
The new "Jet" offers an 800MHz processor, a 3.1-inch AMOLED screen, a 5-megapixel camera, built-in GPS and Samsung's TouchWiz 2.0 user interface.
