Alcatel has followed up the launch of the super cheap OT-E201 candybar handset with another budget offering but this time it's a more stylish clamshell version.

The OT-E221, launching today, is a dualband GSM handset that will also be available for that unbelievably low price point of just £14.99.

Available from Woolworths this September this mobile comes in four stylish colours: hot pink, black, glossy blue and vibrant orange.

The OT-E221 has been given a smooth, "patent-look" finish and is lightweight at just 77g.

As you would rightly expect (and what do you want for 15 notes?) the features list is basic, but would suit anyone looking for an easy to use effort, especially tweens.

It does offer 325 hours standby time, up to ten hours talk time, 200 SMS memory, 65k colour screen, predictive text, polyphonic ringtones, 250 entry phone book, conferencing calling, hands-free, calculator and date and clock with alarm.
